Fishing in March can be unpredictable, and trying to pinpoint the right day to tape a tv show, this time of year is not easy. So in late winter and early spring, you go where you know that there are lots of fish, and that’s why we are going back to Venice on Wednesday to shoot with Captain Ross Barkhurst who you will see soon on LOATV Show that we shot last month. Ross has been fishing quite a bit and is on another outstanding redfish bite. And with the temperatures warming up who knows Wednesday may be the day that the big speckled trout show up. That would be fun lots of reds and a few specks!! I’m excited because they are also catching a few flounder which I love to eat. We have some of the best fishing guides in the world in south Louisiana, and Captain Ross is one of them. I’ve been doing tv for almost 15 years and I learn something new on every trip, which is one of the things that keeps me excited about shooting a tv show. Not only am I blessed to fish in the best saltwater fishery in the world, but also get to fish with the best guides in the world as well. We will let you know how the trip turns out!
