What a strange few months this has been in South Louisiana. Record high rivers that continue to be above flood stage, freshwater everywhere, and now strong southwest winds. You would think that fishing would be just awful, but surprisingly it has not been terrible for speckled trout and has been very good for redfish. Hopefully the rivers will recede and we can look forward to an amazing fall because everyone I know is catching small specks from one end of the state to the other and that bodes well for the fall!!
